Job Title: Major & Complex Loss - Loss Adjuster

Location: Nationwide (Fully Remote)

Salary: Up to £130,000 per annum

Overview:


An exceptional opportunity for an experienced Senior Loss Adjuster to join a leading insurance organisation, managing major and complex commercial claims across the UK.

This is a fully remote position with regular regional travel and occasional overnight stays, depending on case location.


You’ll take a leading role in handling large and technically complex property losses, often exceeding £100,000 in value, involving material damage and business interruption (BI) claims -including flood, fire, and catastrophic events.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage a diverse portfolio of major and complex commercial losses (typically £100k+).
  • Conduct detailed investigations and deliver high-quality, professional adjusting services.
  • Handle material damage and business interruption components with accuracy and technical expertise.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams (e.g. Liability, Casualty) and external stakeholders such as clients, local authorities, and emergency services.
  • Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), productivity targets, and quality standards.
  • Provide expert technical advice and represent the business in high-value or high-profile claims.
  • Utilise technology and digital tools to enhance efficiency and reporting.
  • Act as an ambassador for the company, promoting best practice and consistent service delivery.


Key Requirements:


  • Extensive experience managing complex commercial property claims and major losses.
  • Ideally ACILA qualified (or equivalent), or working towards full accreditation.
  • Strong understanding of FCA/FSA procedures and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of the loss adjusting process at senior level.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to build client trust and credibility.
  • Sound commercial and financial awareness with the ability to achieve agreed performance targets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to adapt to new technologies and claims systems.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally when required.
