Competition & Antitrust Associate (NQ-4 PQE) in London Area

I am working alongside a top-tier international law firm with a highly ranked global antitrust and competition practice. The firm is seeking to appoint an Associate at the NQ-4 PQE level to join its leading Competition & Antitrust team in London.

The Team:

The practice is recognised for its expertise across the full spectrum of UK, EU, and multi-jurisdictional competition matters. The team works closely with clients across sectors including technology, energy, financial services, life sciences, TMT, infrastructure, and consumer goods.

You will be joining a collaborative and ambitious group of lawyers who advise on high-profile and complex matters, offering exceptional training, support, and opportunities for progression.

The Role:

The successful candidate will gain broad and high-quality exposure to:

• Merger control (UK, EU, and multi-jurisdictional filings)
• Antitrust investigations and enforcement actions
• Cartel and dominance matters
• Competition litigation support (including follow-on damages claims)
• Strategic advisory work, including compliance and risk assessments
• Regulatory and sector-specific competition issues
• Public procurement or state aid/subsidy control matters (depending on experience)

The role offers excellent client contact and involvement in market-leading mandates from day one.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or qualifying in March 2026) OR foreign-qualified with relevant UK experience
• 0-4 years’ PQE in competition/antitrust law
• Strong experience or training seat exposure to UK and/or EU competition matters
• Excellent technical ability, drafting skills, and attention to detail
• A collaborative approach and appetite for business development
• A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within competition and antitrust law
