Summary:


We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our growing team in the renewable energy sector. This role is ideal for someone with up to 10 years of experience, preferably within solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects. You will play a key role in monitoring project milestones, managing operational finance, and ensuring accurate invoice tracking and reporting. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the financial backbone of a company driving the transition to clean energy.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Monitor and track project milestones and associated financial deliverables.
  • Manage and reconcile supplier and subcontractor invoices, ensuring alignment with project progress.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
  • Prepare management accounts, variance analysis, and financial reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management across multiple projects.
  • Maintain financial controls and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Identify process improvements and contribute to the development of financial systems and reporting tools.


Qualifications:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or finalist).
  • Up to 10 years of relevant experience in management accounting, ideally within the solar or wider renewables/EPC sector.
  • Strong understanding of operational finance and project accounting.
  • Experience working with milestone-based invoicing and contract financials.
  • Proficient in financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP tools).
  • Excellent Excel skills and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A passion for sustainability and environmental solutions.
  • Candidate must have the right to work in the UK without restrictions.
