Job description

Head of Growth – Drive Growth, Shape Strategy, Influence the Industry

Looking for a high-impact role where you can shape commercial strategy, build powerful relationships, and accelerate growth across the marketing landscape? This is a standout opportunity for a driven, relationship-led Senior Business Development Manager ready to make their mark.

Following significant investment and a series of strategic acquisitions, we’re entering an exciting phase of scale. To support this growth, we’re building world-class commercial capabilities — and this role sits right at the centre of that journey.

The Opportunity

In this senior position, you’ll be at the forefront of establishing and deepening relationships with leading marketing agencies, converting those connections into high-quality commercial opportunities. You’ll fuel pipeline growth across a suite of retained and project-based services from Business Development and PR to senior-level engagement programmes and major industry events.

Reporting directly to the Commercial Director for the North, you’ll own a regional growth plan, collaborate closely with a high-performing sales and marketing team, and contribute directly to ambitious revenue targets.

This is a visible, strategic role offering regular access to senior stakeholders across top agencies and brands, ideal for someone who’s ready to influence direction, shape best practice, and act as a senior voice within the commercial function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and convert new agency relationships into retained and project-based revenue.
  • Own and execute a regional or sector-specific sales strategy aligned to quarterly and annual commercial goals.
  • Build a strong, consistent pipeline through strategic outreach, collaboration with marketing, and self-driven activity.
  • Lead, support, and mentor junior team members to elevate performance and drive progression.
  • Create, deliver, and negotiate compelling proposals and pitches for senior decision-makers.
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and leadership to refine propositions and uncover new opportunities.
  • Represent the business at industry events, acting as a trusted ambassador and thought partner.
  • Maintain CRM excellence, ensuring accurate forecasting and data integrity in HubSpot.

What Success Looks Like

  • Meeting or exceeding personal and team revenue targets.
  • Growth in both number and value of retained client relationships.
  • Strong, predictable pipeline health and solid conversion rates.
  • High levels of client engagement and repeat business.
  • Accurate, timely CRM management to support visibility and forecasting.

✨ What You Bring

  • A proven track record in senior business development, sales, or client acquisition — ideally within marketing, agencies, or professional services.
  • Demonstrated success delivering (and exceeding) commercial targets.
  • Strong understanding of the marketing and agency ecosystem.
  • Natural leadership ability, with experience coaching or supporting junior team members.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Confident in CRM management (HubSpot experience a bonus).
  • Commercially astute, proactive, resilient, and comfortable engaging senior stakeholders.
  • A consultative, relationship-first approach — and a genuine passion for helping agencies grow.
