Customs Specialist in Dagenham

Job description

We are currently working with an established Freight Forwarder who are seeking an experienced Customs Entry Clerk to join their team based in Dagenham.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and finalise import and export customs declarations
• Ensure adherence to all current customs laws and upcoming regulatory changes
• Review and resolve queries related to documentation, commodity classifications, duty rates, and licensing
• Accurately calculate applicable VAT and duty charges for each shipment
• Manage and process duty reclaims where necessary

Key Requirements:

• Solid background in freight forwarding is essential
• Must have customs entries experience
• Strong understanding of customs regulations and procedures
• Familiarity with Sequoia software is a plus
