Job Description

Technical Administrator

Contract Duration: 10 months. (PAYE Via Umbrella)

Location: Derby

Start Date: ASAP

What You Will Be Doing:

You will be supporting a diverse team at all levels and will interact with many other departments across the business. This role will offer a variety of technical and administrative tasks within the team.

  • Supporting the OPHIS engineers and their projects with technical and administrative tasks, with on-the-job training provided.
  • Data entry tasks related to the Operational History of all in-service Submarines.
  • Support in the delivery of technical queries from internal and external customers.
  • Involvement with the reporting of monthly KPIs.

Qualifications

Who we are looking for:

  • Experience of MS Office software, Excel, Word, PowerPoint,
  • Good written and verbal communication skills at all levels
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Familiarity working to deadlines and KPIs
  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).

Desirable skills:

  • Experience of inputting and manipulating data in bespoke database systems or Microsoft Office based applications (e.g. Excel and Access, and Power BI), however, on the training can be provided.
  • Experience within an engineering industry.

This role requires the successful candidate to hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance.



Due to the nature of work this role will be delivering and for the protection of certain assets, the successful candidate has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non-ITAR country.
