Responsibilities
- You will monitor fault reporting systems, diagnose issues, and carry out reactive maintenance to keep assets operational.
- This individual will proactively inspect and maintain station systems, conducting planned preventative maintenance where required.
- The Asset Management Assistant will take ownership of assets, ensuring faults are reported, escalated if necessary, and downtime kept to a minimum.
- You will maintain accurate records so asset history is available, supporting effective management and decision‑making.
- This individual will work collaboratively with colleagues and station teams, sharing information with both customers and staff to deliver great service.
- The Asset Management Assistant will support the management team in achieving KPIs for digital station assets and assist in the creation, testing, and delivery of replacements.
- You will manage spare assets across stations and act as the subject matter expert for the assets you maintain.
- This individual will comply with retail standards, cash regulations, and support the station accounts team as directed by the line manager.
- The Asset Management Assistant will ensure safe practices when handling TVM dumps, working with colleagues to meet dual‑presence requirements.
- You will comply with Arriva Rail London’s Accident and Incident reporting process, attend Fire Precautions training, and apply learning in daily duties.
- This individual will adhere to COSHH regulations, use only company‑provided materials, and remain fully aware of the Alcohol & Drugs Policy.
- The Asset Management Assistant will support the Customer Proposition Management team as directed, contributing to the delivery of excellent customer service.
- The Asset Management Assistant will need experience carrying out fingertip maintenance on Cubic and Worldline ticket vending machines.
- You will require knowledge of retailing systems in the rail industry, with Worldline MTIS desirable.
- This individual will need a clear understanding of cash regulations and the ability to comply with them.
- You will require strong customer service skills, responding effectively by listening, analysing needs, and delivering appropriate solutions.
- The Asset Management Assistant will need to be instinctively customer‑orientated, ensuring excellent service is consistently delivered.
- This individual will need enthusiasm, motivation, and focus on achieving results, maintaining persistence despite obstacles.
- You will require commercial awareness, balancing customer service with profitability and contributing to minimizing KPI payments.
- The Asset Management Assistant will need flexibility and a positive attitude to change, finding ways to improve work and business processes.
- You will require problem‑solving skills, analysing issues, gathering information, and making informed decisions.
- This individual will need the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve business goals.
- The Asset Management Assistant will need to recognize the impact of their work on others and support colleagues in achieving shared objectives.
