Role: Pricing Specialist - Road Freight

Location: Lichfield, West Midlands

Salary: 30k+

We are working with an industry leading international freight forwarding company with multiple office across the country, who are actively on the lookout out for a Pricing Specialist specialising in Road Freight.

This company has been established for over 20+ years and are continuing to grow in the industry.

Duties:

• Negotiating rates with carriers / hauliers / suppliers
• Prepare and submit customer quotations and proposals within agreed timeframe
• Work within our in-house system to create and issue quotations
• Communicate with customers to manage and follow up all quotes
• Adjusting pricing where possible to ensure we secure opportunities.
• Develop and build relationships and provide the highest level of customer service to all customers

Skills:

• Strong analytical thinking skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proactive, team worker with excellent time management and organisation skills
• Able to cope and accustomed to working under pressure to meet fixed deadlines
• Strong numerical and commercial skills
• Industry and operational knowledge of Road freight - groupage, inbound, outbound, and cross trade
