Red Bull Technology are looking for a Junior Manual Machinist (Chassis) to support the team to fully utilise internal manual machining processes and technologies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality components to the required standards and agreed delivery date. Additionally, the Junior Manual Machinist will support all departments by responding to short-lead-time requests on an ad hoc basis.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Set and Operate department machinery and be responsible for the component produced.
  • Operate the relevant inspection equipment to measure the components accuracy.
  • Work alongside established Machinists, Team Leaders and Production Engineering, to resolve any manufacturing issues and support with engineering solutions.
  • Interpret technical engineering drawings.
  • Assist in department administration tasks.
  • Undertake Machine maintenance activities where required.
  • Make use of our CAD/CAM and planning systems and understand data and documentation.
  • Be responsible for quality of components produced, ensuring all appropriate inspection is carried out, and that any deviations from specification are identified, and if possible corrected, prior to submission to inspection.
  • To work with the Machining Group Leader & Team Leaders to understand the priorities and deadlines to work to these accordingly.
  • Commitment to meet delivery targets without ever compromising quality.
  • To ensure that company policies and procedures are administered consistently, seeking advice where appropriate, e.g., time and attendance system holiday bookings, sickness absence, disciplinary and grievance matters.
  • To report any machine breakdowns to the Machine shop Team Leaders and/or the Manufacturing Support Engineer.
  • To maintain a good communication channel with all shift personnel, Team Leaders and other internal departments including supporting areas.
