About the Role


Salary: £45,000-£50,000+ base salary (dependent on experience), as well as a targets focused bonus structure. 


InsureSafeLine is a dynamic, independent insurance brokerage based in Birmingham, committed to delivering tailored, market-leading solutions for clients across the U.K. It is one of nine businesses which sit within YourSupportLine, a one-stop shop for financial services for SMEs. Founded in 2015, the business is embarking on an ambitious expansion plan over the next year and is seeking a new ‘Head of Insurance’, reporting directly to the business owner, to lead the business through this exciting period. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled leader, with relevant commercial insurance technical knowledge and experience, to drive forward the business and lead a team of 5 people through an exciting expansion period.  


Key Responsibilities: 

·      Lead a team of 5, including providing direct line management to two senior account executives.  

·      Lead on the new business strategy to acquire a more diverse set of clients to grow the business. 

·      Build and manage rigorous relationships with clients, via. Execution of a rigorous client engagement strategy. 

·      Develop and maintain relationships with a range of insurers. 

·      Engage with business heads across the parent group (YourSupportLine) to maximise client leads.  

·      Ensure full compliance with FCA regulations.  


 Requirements: 

·      Bachelor’s Degree.  

·      5+ years' experience in insurance broking, account management, or sales. 

·      Extensive knowledge of insurance products, claims handling processes and FCA regulation. 

·      Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills. 

·      Experience with using the Acturis system. 

·      Insurance qualification (e.g. CII) advantageous.
