Job description

We are looking for a Banking & Finance Lawyer to join a leading financial institution's legal team. In this role, you will act as a key legal contact for front office departments including corporate banking, asset finance, real estate finance, transaction banking, trade finance, and syndicated lending. You will review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as an allied coverage lawyer for two or more front office departments.
• Review, draft, and negotiate facility agreements, term sheets, NDAs, legal opinions, and other transactional documents.
• Liaise with external counsel where necessary.
• Provide proactive legal advice on transactional matters.
• Identify and escalate legal risks, ensuring company policy compliance.
• Contribute to projects and initiatives to reduce legal risks

Profile

• Qualified lawyer with 3+ years PQE from a reputable law firm or financial institution.
• Strong experience in transactional banking and finance/corporate matters.
• Excellent communication skills and commercial awareness.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.
• Experience in asset finance or interest in AI/tech for lawyers is a plus
