HEAD OF PAID MEDIA


SALARY UP TO £70,000


LONDON


We’re looking for an inspiring and strategic Head of Paid Media to lead and evolve a high-performing paid marketing function. This role is perfect for a senior agency-side paid media expert who thrives on innovation, strategic direction, and empowering teams to deliver exceptional performance.

You’ll shape the vision for Paid Search, Paid Social and emerging platforms, champion the effective use of AI, and play a key part in driving client success and business growth.


THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Leadership & Strategy

  • Define and deliver the Paid Media strategy and service roadmap.
  • Lead the development of paid performance across search, social and emerging platforms.
  • Drive innovation, with a particular focus on AI-enabled performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure seamless service integration and client growth.
  • Set departmental objectives, monitor KPIs and ensure excellent delivery standards.


Team Development

  • Line-manage and mentor senior paid media specialists.
  • Build a culture of collaboration, accountability and innovation.
  • Oversee training, development and performance reviews across the team.
  • Deliver internal and external training to support thought leadership.


Commercial & Client Growth

  • Support commercial teams in pitches and proposals.
  • Identify opportunities for account expansion and performance growth.
  • Contribute to cross-departmental strategies that improve wider business success.


Governance & Operational Excellence

  • Maintain strong processes, documentation and quality standards.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and operational accountability.
  • Stay ahead of paid media trends, tools and platform updates.


YOUR SKILLS:

  • Proven senior-level experience leading Paid Media within an agency environment.
  • Strong strategic mindset with excellent communication and decision-making skills.
  • Hands-on expertise across Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn and other major paid platforms.
  • Highly numerate and analytical, with the ability to interpret complex performance data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how paid media drives business outcomes.
  • Confident leader with experience managing and developing teams.
