Loan Transaction Coordinator

Location: London

Role Type: Contract - 6 months (potential perm)

Work Setup: Hybrid - 3 days in the office (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) 5 days in office for first two months

What you'll do:

  • Serve as the senior point of contact in Wholesale Lending, managing a portfolio of complex structured, leveraged and high-grade loans for Investment and Commercial Banking.
  • Supports multiple lines of business including CIB EMEA GCB, Global Trade, EDG, SPG and CB CCBSI oversee execution and closing of complex transactions new loans, refinancings, amendments, cross-border deals, acquisition financing, and repricings.
  • Manage operational oversight on syndicated-loan closings: ensure all documentation, regulatory (KYC, FinCEN) and pre-closing conditions are met.
  • Review funds flows and legal loan documentation for feasibility and compliance (funding mechanics, booking, regional/currency policies), mitigating operational risk.
  • Coordinate pre-closing requirements with internal and external stakeholders (i.e GCB & Specialized industries, Credit Risk, Loan and Agency Services, Product Control, Legal, Trade Settlements, ClearPar, Borrowers, Arrangers, and Lenders), schedule calls, and escalate/resolve issues.
  • Leads projects and act as Subject-Matter Expert, enforce best practices and controls, risk mitigation, and contribute to working groups focused on boosting performance and efficiency.


What You Bring:

  • Experience in syndicated-loan operations and coordination; deep understanding of credit agreements, loan funding mechanics, deal structures, ticking fees, funds flow.
  • Strong leadership, organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and teams in high-pressure, and thrives in fast-changing environments.
  • Excellent written/oral communication, analytical skills, attention to detail, with capability to review/negotiate legal/operational/regulatory documentation (e.g., Credit Agreements, Term Sheets, Amendments, A&R Credit Agreements, Waivers, and Fee Letters)
