Salary: £ 36,000 - £ 38,000

Your role:
As a Learning Designer within our Student Learning team, you’ll create engaging and effective digital learning experiences for qualifications, further education, and corporate learning products. You’ll design and develop instructional materials that meet educational objectives, working closely with subject matter experts and internal teams to transform content into high-quality e-learning.
Your responsibilities include sourcing and creating multimedia assets, ensuring accessibility standards, and applying instructional design techniques to deliver impactful content. You’ll manage small projects or phases of larger ones, maintain rigorous quality assurance, and provide technical support to learners and colleagues. Collaboration is key, you’ll build strong relationships across the Institute and act as a resource for learning design expertise.
This role also involves monitoring content effectiveness, recommending improvements, and staying ahead of digital learning trends. Your creativity and proactive approach will help enhance our products and processes, contributing to continuous improvement and exceptional learner experiences.
You:
- You’re an experienced learning designer who knows how to turn complex subject matter into clear, engaging digital content.
- You’re confident using tools like Articulate Rise and Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent) to create interactive courses and multimedia assets.
- You combine strong editorial skills with a solid understanding of instructional design principles to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
- You’re organised and proactive, able to manage small projects while keeping an eye on detail and deadlines.
- You communicate effectively, building strong relationships with colleagues and subject matter experts to achieve the best outcomes.
- You stay curious and adaptable, embracing new technologies and approaches to continuously improve learning solutions.
