A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified solicitor to join a leading global consumer goods company as Senior Legal Counsel. You’ll be part of a dynamic, friendly UK legal team, with access to a wider global legal network spanning Europe, North America, South America and Asia. The team collaborates across regions on major projects and regularly shares best practice.

This role offers the chance to act as a true legal business partner across commercial, procurement, marketing, supply chain and leadership teams. The successful candidate will provide clear, pragmatic advice, influence decision making and help drive business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Negotiating, drafting and reviewing a broad range of commercial agreements including supply, distribution, co manufacturing and logistics

• Advising on procurement contracts with a focus on sustainability, risk management and commercial value

• Providing legal guidance on trademarks, copyright, patents and brand protection

• Supporting marketing campaigns, sponsorship arrangements, licensing and digital initiatives while ensuring compliance with advertising law

• Delivering compliance advice and training on competition law

• Advising on data protection, internal policies and incident response strategies in line with GDPR

• Supporting policies on ethical business conduct, anti bribery, fraud prevention and corporate criminal offences

• Managing and resolving disputes with suppliers, customers and consumers in a commercially focused way

• Assisting on corporate transactions including asset sales, purchases and joint ventures

Candidate Profile

• UK qualified commercial solicitor with at least 2-7 years PQE

• Strong background from a leading law firm or established in house legal team

• Strong commercial contracts experience and ability to balance legal risk with business outcomes

• Effective communicator, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels

• Capable of translating complex legal issues into clear, practical advice

• Collaborative, proactive and commercially minded
