Are you a newly qualified accountant who loves understanding how systems work, improving processes, and strengthening financial controls?

This brand new role gives you the rare chance to own key finance system operations and build our controls framework from the ground up.

You’ll play a critical role in improving how we use NetSuite, tightening governance, and supporting our revenue recognition processes, all with the guidance of an experienced Group Accounting Manager and wider team collaboration.

What You Will Do

Own key financial system processes

  • Manage period opens/closes
  • Maintain chart of accounts and master data
  • Run the revenue recognition process
  • Prepare analytics on accrued/deferred revenue


Build and strengthen financial controls

  • Create risk & control matrices from scratch
  • Lead access rights reviews and segregation of duties work
  • Perform control spot checks and testing
  • Support audit requests and remediation


Drive process improvement

  • Improve how NetSuite is used across finance
  • Identify inefficiencies and fix pain points
  • Work closely with IT, Risk & Compliance, and Accounting


This is a hands on, high impact role with a lot of visibility and responsibility early on

What You Will Have

  • Newly qualified or nearly qualified ACA/ACCA/CA/CIMA
  • Experience in internal audit, internal controls, or audit engagements involving controls
  • Confidence working with ERP systems (NetSuite is a bonus)
  • Strong analytical skills and clear documentation ability
  • Proactive mindset and willingness to build processes from scratch

Please note: This is a Hybrid role, ideally 3 days based from our Head Office, Birmingham City Centre
