Join Us as a Sessional Lecturer in English for Academic Purposes (EAP)

Location: Birmingham City Centre

Contract: Sessional | £50/hour

Teaching Hours:

Weekends: Saturday (Face-to-Face), Sunday (Online)

Optional: Weekday daytime hours if available

About the Role

We’re looking for passionate and qualified EAP Lecturers to deliver high-quality teaching to our diverse student community. You’ll play a key role in helping students succeed in their academic journey across pre-sessional, undergraduate, and postgraduate programmes.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging EAP and academic skills modules

• Provide feedback on oral and written work

• Support students’ academic development and well-being

• Contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement

• Participate in CPD and share best practice

What You’ll Bring

• TEFLQ status (DELTA or MA TESOL + CELTA)

• Degree-level qualification (Master’s preferred)

• Experience teaching EAP in higher education

• Strong communication and digital skills (VLE experience)

• A collaborative and student-focused approach
