Exciting Opportunity: Head of Community Safety

As we welcome the New Year, we are delighted to announce an opening for the position of Head of Community Safety. This pivotal role requires a forward-thinking and adaptable strategic leader to lead and shape the future of our Community Safety Services.

Key areas of responsibility will include overseeing Youth Services, the Community Safety Partnership (Safer Plymouth), and the management of statutory obligations such as Domestic Abuse Related Death Reviews, Anti-Social Behaviour Case Reviews, and the Serious Violence Reduction Duty.

This dynamic position is central to our Community Connections Service, and we are seeking an experienced leader dedicated to fostering and guiding high-performing teams while driving system improvements.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with local, regional, and national partners to influence policy and enhance services for the residents of Plymouth. Given the responsive nature of this role, candidates must be physically available to address high-profile incidents related to Community Safety.
