Management Accountant

Based: Bury

Salary: circa £50k-£55k dependent on experience + benefits

I am working with a progressive, well-established & growing business offering an excellent opportunity for a Management Accountant looking to work in a brand new role created to support the growing finance function & business. This role will have month end responsibilities, be involved in numerous process/system upgrade projects and have a commercial focus – business partnering with the wider business departments

We are looking for a Qualified Accountant who is looking for a new opportunity!

Role:

• Preparing management accounts ensuring correctly reported
• Monthly P&L analysis to identify trends, variances & areas for improvement and to guide strategic decisions
• Business partnering with wider departments, commercial analysis on products/customers and margin analysis
• Supporting budgeting & forecasting process with the FD
• Interpreting & communicating financial data to non-finance stakeholders
• Supporting with internal & external audits
• Cash flow forecasting & cash management presenting to the FD & MD monthly
• VAT returns, dealing with any HMRC queries
• Developing & overseeing finance system identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies
• Providing financial support to the FD on a number of exciting projects

Experience:

• ACCA / CIMA / ACA qualified with at least 2 years PQE
• Experience producing management accounts is essential
• Able to work autonomously and have a solution focused mindset
• Good listening & learner and keen to progress your career
• Any system implementation/project experience desirable but not essential
