From 1st May 2026 the Renters Rights Act will give private rented sector tenants stronger rights, better protections and more security in their homes.

We are recruiting for a Housing Advisor to help implement the changes in legislation and specialise in providing comprehensive advice to tenants in private rented sector homes and carry out statutory functions under homelessness legislation to prevent and relieve homelessness.

What we’re looking for:

If you have experience of working within homelessness legislation and landlord and tenant law and are confident working on your own initiative within a busy service; managing a case load and dealing with people and are interested in this challenging but rewarding role, then we would like to hear from you.

An Enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.

Hours: This is a full-time role, for 37 hours per week.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

Contract: 2 Years Fixed Term

Salary: £37,280 - £41,771 per annum (City Pay Band 5), pro rata for part time.

Location: Office based in central Cambridge with flexibility for some home working within the needs of the service.
