Digital Engagement Specialist

Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT) is looking for an Digital Engagement Specialist in London Area

Job description

Location: Central London (N1 7JE), with minimum of two days in the office (Wednesdays is a set office day – usually the team also comes in on Tuesday but this can be flexible)


Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)


Role Status: Fixed-term contract for maternity leave cover, from approximately mid-March 2026 until 31 March 2027.

This role sits within the Bus Centre of Excellence (BCoE) team, which is part of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT), funded by the Department of Transport.

About the job


Key Responsibilities of the role:

The Bus Centre of Excellence (BCoE) is run and managed by CIHT with funding from the Department for Transport. The BCoE team works closely with a wide range of organisations and individuals who are engaged with the delivery of bus services in England, to help improve capability within the sector and promote best practice.


The Digital Engagement Specialist will report to the Head of the BCoE and be responsible for:


• Developing and managing the delivery of BCoE webinars;

• Drafting the weekly BCoE newsletter;

• Managing content for the BCoE website, including sourcing blogs, uploading resources and making changes to the website; and

• Managing BCoE social media channels, including LinkedIn and X.
