Job title: CDM Consultant

Department: Safety Department

Location: London and Surrounding Area


Job purpose:

  • To discharge the duties of Principal Designer or assist the Client / Principal Designer carry out their roles specified in the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.


Responsibilities:

  • To liaise with Clients, Designers and Contractors as required by the scheme;
  • To attend design reviews and design team meetings as required by the scheme;
  • To advise Clients, Designers, and Contractors on their duties under the regulations;
  • To attend pre-start and progress meetings as required by the scheme;
  • Familiarity with design risk management and pre-construction information collation.
  • You may be required to carry out other duties in line with your job status and level of responsibility, in order to meet the needs of the business.

Person Specification:

  • Proactive approach to project delivery, with the ability to anticipate issues and drive solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Mobility

  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites and client offices within the surrounding region.
  • Full UK driving licence

Essential:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate
  • A thorough understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and associated approved code of practice;
  • Previous CDM Coordination experience within a consultancy organisation;
  • Registered CDMC membership of the Association for Project Safety (RMaPS);
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills;
  • The ability to work under own initiative;
  • The ability to prioritise and meet strict deadlines;
  • A good level of IT skills.
  • Driving License

Desirable:

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate;
  • Technician Membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (TechIOSH
