Senior Estimator – Rail & Civil Engineering

What We’re Looking For

• Strong engineering or commercial background
• Proven experience in rail drainage, utilities, and civils
• Track record of successful tendering up to £5m
• Chartered or incorporated status (or equivalent)
• Advanced IT skills, including estimating software and Excel
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Willingness to travel for site visits

Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead & Deliver: Prepare accurate, competitive estimates aligned with company objectives
• Mentor & Develop: Support and guide junior estimators
• Collaborate & Present: Work with bid managers and planners, and present estimates confidently at adjudication
• Ensure Success: Identify risks, maintain key assumptions, and ensure feasibility and profitability
