Buyer – Aerospace / Aviation | Runcorn | Up to £50,000

I’m partnering with a leading aerospace engineering manufacturer in Runcorn, renowned for producing high-precision components and assemblies for major global OEMs. Due to continued growth and a busy orderbook, they’re looking to add an experienced Buyer to their procurement team.

What you’ll be doing:

As a key part of the supply chain function, you’ll manage end-to-end procurement activity to ensure materials, components, and services are delivered on time, in full, and to the required quality standards. This is a hands-on, proactive role where you’ll build strong supplier relationships, monitor performance, negotiate value, and keep production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities include:

• Full E2E procurement ownership – from sourcing to PO management

• Ensuring continuity of supply in a fast-paced, engineering-led environment

• Managing supplier performance, risk, and delivery metrics

• Supporting NPI and engineering projects as required

• Working cross-functionally with operations, planning, and quality teams

• Identifying opportunities to improve cost, lead time, and supply chain resilience

What we’re looking for:

✓ Proven experience as a Buyer within aerospace, aviation, defence, engineering, or a similarly regulated/complex manufacturing environment

✓ A self-starter who stays calm under pressure and can take ownership of their portfolio

✓ Strong understanding of supply chain processes and the importance of on-time delivery

✓ Confident communicator with solid negotiation skills

✓ Someone who enjoys problem-solving and working collaboratively in a technical setting
