Head of Consulting – Financial Services

London (Hybrid)

Salary up to £250,000 + bonus (£350,000 OTE)

A global digital services and technology transformation organisation is seeking a Head of Consulting – Financial Services to lead and scale its FS consulting practice in the UK and Europe. This is a high-impact leadership role with full ownership of consulting strategy, revenue growth, and senior client relationships across Banking, Capital Markets, and Insurance.

You will shape go-to-market strategy, build and lead consulting teams, and act as a trusted advisor to C-suite stakeholders, driving complex transformation programmes across technology, operations, data, and digital.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and grow the Financial Services consulting practice, including P&L, revenue targets, and margin management
• Lead client-facing engagements with Tier-1 and Tier-2 FS institutions, engaging at Board and C-suite level
• Define consulting offerings across digital transformation, core modernisation, data & analytics, cloud, and operating model change
• Front complex sales cycles and presales activity, from opportunity shaping and RFP response through deal closure and bid defence
• Build, mentor, and scale high-performing consulting and advisory teams
• Partner closely with delivery, engineering, and industry teams to ensure successful execution and client outcomes
• Act as a market thought leader, bringing industry insight and innovation to clients

Required Experience

• Senior consulting leadership experience within Financial Services (Banking, Capital Markets, Insurance)
• Proven track record of building and scaling consulting practices, including revenue and P&L ownership
• Strong background in technology-led transformation and advisory services
• Extensive experience leading complex presales and large-scale client engagements
• Executive-level stakeholder management and excellent commercial acumen
• Ability to operate in a fast-growth, entrepreneurial environment
