Construction Delivery Lead

Location: Bristol / Hinkley Point C

Client: Major UK Nuclear Client

About the Role

The Construction Delivery Lead (CDL) will form part of the Construction Delivery Team, overseeing construction activities delivered by Tier 1 contractors across allocated work areas. Reporting to the Senior Construction Delivery Manager, this role plays a key part in ensuring safe, efficient and compliant delivery on a highly regulated nuclear site.

The role will be split approximately 50% site-based and 50% office-based, depending on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Line manage and develop Construction Delivery Managers (CDMs)
• Provide leadership, guidance and ensure appropriate training for CDMs
• Oversee Health, Safety & Environment compliance in line with the Construction Phase Plan
• Undertake safety and assurance inspections and support project KPIs
• Support construction sequencing, recovery planning and resource allocation
• Step into the CDM role when required by the Senior Construction Delivery Manager

Skills & Experience

• Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Construction or related discipline
• Strong experience delivering large, complex construction projects
• Knowledge of construction commercial principles and reporting
• Working knowledge of CDM Regulations
• Proven leadership and team motivation skills
• NEBOSH, SMSTS or IOSH certification required
