The Role


We are seeking a proactive and organised Legal Secretary to provide high-quality administrative support to our Corporate partners and fee earners. You will play a vital role in enabling our lawyers to focus on fee-earning, client management, and business development, while acting as a first point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.


This is an excellent opportunity for someone with prior legal secretarial experience who thrives in a busy professional services environment and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Full diary management including scheduling meetings, travel, calls, and lunches, liaising effectively with internal and external contacts
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships on behalf of the team
  • Prepare documents, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations, ensuring accuracy and professional presentation
  • Support fee earners with meeting preparation, pitches, and presentations
  • Manage incoming post, emails, and phone calls in fee earners’ absence
  • Maintain and update client records in the firm’s CRM system
  • Produce financial reports, assist with dashboards, and track expenses
  • Organise team events and support cross-office collaboration
  • Travel between office locations as required to support business needs


Who We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven legal secretarial experience
  • Strong organisational skills, able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional telephone manner
  • High level of confidentiality, integrity, and client care
  • IT competence, including Microsoft Office; familiarity with BigHand or Peppermint is desirable but not essential
  • A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach, willing to “go the extra mile”
