Head of Operations – Bridging Finance

A leading UK specialist lender is seeking a Head of Operations to oversee lending, drive operational excellence, and play a key role in shaping the business.

This is a senior leadership role where you will influence strategy, own delivery across key operational functions, and lead teams that sit at the very heart of the business.

About the Role

As Head of Operations, you will lead end-to-end lending operations, ensuring smooth progression from approval to completion while driving efficiency, accuracy and strong customer outcomes.

Oversee in-life portfolio management, including servicing, variations, arrears and recoveries, with robust governance, MI and risk controls.

Manage savings operations and outsourced partners, ensuring SLA performance, regulatory compliance and high-quality customer service.

Drive operational improvement and transformation, introducing scalable processes, automation and change initiatives across the function.

Lead, develop and inspire high-performing teams while contributing to strategic planning and shaping the lender’s operational framework.

About You

You will bring:

• Strong background in bridging lending
• Experience leading completions, servicing, arrears and third-party partners
• Strong regulatory knowledge including KYC/AML and operational risk
• A track record of delivering change and continuous improvement
• Strong communication and influencing skills at senior level
• A disciplined, customer-focused, performance-driven approach
