Assistant Technical Co-ordinator required in Essex


GVR Solutions are currently representing a well-established and growing Residential developer, based in Essex, who are seeking an Assistant Technical co-ordinator to join their team.

The Technical team is a really closely knitted team, and this opportunity will be a good opportunity to be involved in its growth as the company expands. As a company each team has a real family feel where everyone’s efforts are valued and do not go unmissed.

This opportunity offers flexible working with 1 day on site, 3 days in the office and 1 day working from home.


Responsibilities of the Assistant Technical Co-ordinator:

  • Assist in managing and reviewing architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Oversee small-scale technical projects with the assistance of the Technical Coordinator.
  • Support the coordination of consultant teams including architects, structural and civil engineers, and M&E consultants.
  • Help ensure design information is issued accurately and on time to site teams and contractors.
  • Track drawing revisions and maintain drawing registers.
  • Liaise with planning and building control authorities as required.
  • Attend design and site meetings taking minutes and following up on actions.
  • Assist in preparing technical reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation and submission of technical information for planning applications and building regulations.
  • Maintain organised records of technical documentation and correspondence.
  • Ensure version control and proper distribution of drawings and specifications.
  • Use document management systems to support project workflows.


Requirement for the Assistant Technical Co-ordinator role:

  • Demonstratable experience in a technical coordination or design support role for a residential developer.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and planning processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
  • Willing and able to independently travel to sites across Essex, East London and Kent.
