About LaplandUK

LaplandUK is based on two Original Stories Written by Mike & Alison Battle 'The Untold Story of Father Christmas'

& 'The Secrets of the Christmas Elves'.

LaplandUK is an immersive, theatrical experience based on an original adaptation, centred around a child’s

fleeting belief in Father Christmas. Putting families at the centre of the storyline, the 4/4.5-hour experience allows

families to explore an ancient Elven civilisation through a magical world of storytelling that fuses the spectacle of

a filmset with the performance of theatre.

Role Overview

The FC Runner co-ordinates Father Christmas, ensuring he is in the right place at the right time. A key operational

role, the FC Runner will ensure that Father Christmas has everything he needs to deliver a truly magical and

memorable experience for guests. The role is also responsible for assisting the Magic Elf's when working with

Father Christmas.

This is a multi-faceted role, which requires a strong ability to meet the demands of people management, whilst

protecting the guest experience and delivering an efficient and effective operation.

FC Runners ensure every guest has an experience they will never forget, for all the right reasons. They are

essential to the event operations & FC Control, ensuring that the experience operates smoothly. Guest-obsessed,

they make sure that feedback is properly collected, communicated and actioned. An inspiring people leader, they

coach, lead and motivate their team to deliver world-class standards of service.

FC Runner will work closely with FC Duty Manager & the FC Controllers via radio, confident in ensuring Magic

Elf's and Father Christmas are at the correct location at the correct time whilst dealing with radio communications

is key to succeeding in this role.

Daily Rate

£ 13.50 day

Daily Shift Times (All subject to review)

10:00 – 22:00

4 days a week

Please be aware this is a 12 hour shfit

Dates

Live Event Period:13th November – 24th December

Catering – 1 meal per day to be provided


Experience:

• Minimum one year experience working in live entertainment, event operations and/or visitor attraction

operations.

• Strong working knowledge of best Health and Safety practices.

• Experience co-ordinating cast members within a guest-facing operation.

• Knowledge of Act 4 and Lapland operations is a benefit although not essential

Lapland Manchester is based at Congleton Road, Siddington, Macclesfield, SK11 9JY

Key Dates:

• PAID TRAINING: Your training plan will vary depending on your role. Training will take place on select

dates between the end of October 2025 and the beginning of November 2025.

• LIVE EVENT: In 2025 Lapland Manchester will run from Sunday 9th November – Wednesday 24th

December.
