We have partnered with a specialist lender who are looking for a Head of Credit Risk to join them and build out their 2LOD risk function.


This role is instrumental in the companies growth and this individual will be a key advisor to the CEO and board and will be responsible for defining and executing risk strategy and setting risk appetite. The business is in scale up so this is an exciting time to join a fast growing business with a great mission to deliver ethical funding products to the market.


Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute credit risk strategy, implementing policy to balance exposure whilst maintaining commercial success.
  • Manage and develop credit processes 1st and 2nd line
  • Analytics - using data to drive decision making
  • Portfolio management - effectively monitor the entire portfolio, limits, stress testing etc
  • Automation - looking for areas to improve efficiency utilising technology
  • Reporting - providing meaningful data driven insights to the wider business to aid effective decision making across the business
  • Collaboration - working effectively with stakeholders across the business to ensure commercial success


Requirements

  • Credit Risk SME - Analytics, metrics, decisioning, strategy, pricing, framework, portfolio management
  • Deep knowledge of property lending, all types of mortgage products, BTL, residential, commercial, bridging
  • Stakeholder management - ability to engage at C-Suite level
  • Leadership - ability to influence and ensure stakeholders buy into the credit risk vision and goals and experience building teams
  • Individual contributor - this role will be hands on from day one and this individual will be building and growing the function from the ground up.
  • Experience working in a fintech/start up environment will be beneficial


You will be required to be in the central London offices 3 times pw
