Job Title: QA Auditor

We are hiring for our client, a fast-paced and dynamic bakery, looking to recruit a QA Auditor to ensure high standards of food safety, quality, and compliance. The QA Auditor will be responsible for maintaining a strong, visible presence on the production floor, supporting real-time quality assurance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The role is vital to ensuring that production processes meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, and internal safety procedures, while collaborating with production teams to resolve issues before they occur.

Real-Time Production Support - Actively engage on the production floor to resolve issues related to allergens, hygiene, CCPs, and equipment.
Strong Focus on Continuous Improvement - Proactively identify opportunities for procedural improvements and contribute to SOP updates.
Exposure to Auditing & Compliance - Support internal and external customer queries and assist with BRCGS audits and customer visits.
Production Floor QA Support
Maintain a visible presence throughout shifts to identify and resolve issues regarding labelling, allergens, hygiene, and equipment.
Collaborate with Team Leaders and Supervisors to ensure safe, legal, and right-first-time production.
Support compliance tasks such as start-up checks, CCP verification, and temperature checks.
Compliance, Verification & GMP
Complete GMP audits, CCP verification checks, allergen control, and routine equipment checks.
Document all findings and agree on actions with production teams.
Perform sampling for shelf-life assessments and ensure accurate QA documentation.
Issue Management & Continuous Improvement
Log and follow up on issues such as technical faults, hygiene gaps, and process deviations.
Assist in root-cause analysis and trend reporting to reduce non-conformances and improve processes.
Identify and report opportunities for continuous improvement.
Customer & Audit Support
Act as a contact point for internal and external customer quality or compliance-related queries.
Assist with preparation for customer visits and BRCGS audits.
Previous experience in a QA or technical role within food manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of GMP, CCPs, allergen management, and food safety compliance.
Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Experience with digital quality systems (preferred).
HACCP Level 2/3 or Food Safety qualifications (preferred).
