Are you an experienced CNC Machinist with strong 5-axis milling expertise? This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading high-precision engineering organisation at their advanced manufacturing facility in Glasgow.
As a CNC Machinist, you'll play a vital role in producing precision components, ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency across machining operations. You'll work closely with production and engineering teams while contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate 5-axis milling machines to manufacture high-precision components
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate production
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
- Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning to ensure machines remain in optimum condition
- Inspect finished components to ensure compliance with quality requirements
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues to reduce downtime
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to enhance manufacturing processes
- Maintain a safe, organised work environment and follow all company safety procedures

Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in CNC machining, with hands-on 5-axis milling expertise
- Time-served engineer or relevant technical qualifications
- Proficient in CNC programming and machine operation
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong understanding of machine maintenance and general care
- Demonstrable dexterity and confident use of hand tools
- Experience working to high quality standards on precision components
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or 5S processes is desirable
- Experience with specific 5-axis machinery and program editing is highly advantageous
