Orthopaedic Surgeon – Medico-Legal Expert Witness (Assessment-Only Role)

Everpool Recruitment is partnering with a leading medico-legal provider to offer assessment-only opportunities for Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons across the UK. You’ll focus purely on your clinical expertise, with all administrative, reporting, and case-handling duties managed by a dedicated support team.

The Role

• Conduct structured clinical assessments for PI and RTA claimants
• Review concise medical summaries prepared in advance
• Perform focused physical examinations and record findings
• Provide clinical input via template or dictation, then review and sign off reports prepared by administrative staff
• No direct solicitor contact, no court attendance, and no time-consuming report writing.

Ideal for Surgeons Who

• Hold current GMC registration with a licence to practise
• Have NHS or private practice commitments and want flexible additional work
• Prefer a streamlined, clinically focused medico-legal role
• Have prior medico-legal experience (desirable but not essential — guidance provided)
