Location: Dubai
A globally renowned private equity firm—one of the oldest and most established houses in the industry—is seeking a high-performing Associate / Senior Associate to join its Abu Dhabi investment team. Operating across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, the firm is recognised for its institutional rigor, blue-chip portfolio, and multi-decade record of value creation.
This opportunity is particularly attractive for candidates coming from leading Investment Banking platforms who are seeking to deploy their execution skillset in a true buy-side environment with global exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead core workstreams across the full deal lifecycle: sourcing, due diligence, financial modelling, valuation, structuring and execution.
- Run detailed industry and company analyses, identify investment angles, and build conviction around thematic opportunities.
- Develop, refine, and pressure-test complex operating and transaction models used for decision-making by senior leadership.
- Prepare high-quality investment materials and present insights to Partners and the global Investment Committee.
- Actively support portfolio management, including performance reviews, KPI development, organic/inorganic growth initiatives, and exit planning.
- Act as a key point of contact with bankers, management teams, advisors, and cross-border deal teams.
Candidate Profile
- 4–7 years of experience, ideally with training at a top-tier Investment Bank (M&A, Leveraged Finance, Sponsors, ECM/DCM, or sector coverage).
- Strong track record of transaction execution, financial modelling excellence, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams under pressure.
- Robust understanding of corporate finance, valuation, and deal dynamics; experience with cross-border transactions preferred.
- Highly structured thinker with exceptional detail orientation and the ability to translate complex analyses into clear recommendations.
- Strong communication skills, maturity, and confidence interfacing with senior stakeholders.
- Team-oriented mindset, low ego, and a desire to learn from a seasoned global investing platform.
