Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Global Head of Compliance Operations to lead and build our global compliance operations function. This role requires deep hands on experience in designing and implementing compliance operations from the ground up, strong knowledge of compliance systems and vendors, and the ability to engage effectively with regulators. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in crypto and payments and be fluent in Mandarin.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee global compliance operations across multiple jurisdictions
  • Design, build, and implement compliance operations frameworks from scratch, including policies, procedures, and controls
  • Select, implement, and manage compliance systems and vendors, including transaction monitoring, market surveillance, and case management tools
  • Oversee day to day compliance operations such as transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, AML investigations, and market surveillance
  • Act as a key point of contact for regulators on compliance operations related matters
  • Engage proactively with regulators, understanding regulatory expectations and translating them into operational requirements
  • Work closely with legal, risk, product, and business teams to ensure regulatory compliance is embedded into operations
  • Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance operations remain aligned with evolving requirements



Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant compliance experience
  • Proven hands on experience implementing compliance operations from scratch
  • Strong knowledge of compliance systems and vendors, including transaction monitoring and market surveillance tools
  • Deep understanding of regulatory expectations and experience engaging directly with regulators
  • Prior experience in cryptocurrency, digital assets, and or payment institutions is required
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English to engage with different business stakeholders
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced, global, and highly regulated environment
