Job Title: Chief Data Officer (CDO) – Global Data Strategy & Transformation

Role Overview
As Chief Data Officer, you will define and deliver the global data strategy, architecting future-ready platforms and integrating advanced technologies to enable predictive analytics, intelligent automation, and real-time insights. You will lead large-scale transformation initiatives, ensuring data integrity, security, and interoperability across enterprise and customer ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive global data strategy and execution, integrating enterprise and customer systems.
- Define and implement data standards and governance frameworks.
- Architect and execute migration from legacy systems to modern platforms (Azure SQL, Synapse, Lakehouse).
- Lead system integrations using Microsoft technologies (Azure Logic Apps, Service Bus, Power Automate, API Management).
- Ensure seamless data flow across platforms (Workday, Snowflake, Informatica).
- Champion AI/ML innovation through scalable data ecosystems and ethical AI frameworks.
- Deliver advanced analytics, dashboards, and data storytelling to enable business intelligence.
- Inspire and lead high-performing teams, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a senior ambassador, building trusted client relationships and driving growth opportunities.
Skills & Experience
- 15+ years in senior leadership roles influencing executive stakeholders.
- Proven expertise in data lifecycle management, integration technologies, and governance frameworks (DAMADMBOK).
- Experience in clinical trials or related industries with strong knowledge of data security and privacy (HIPAA).
- Strategic thinker with hands-on leadership and a track record of delivering enterprise-scale data initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure stack and Power Platform; certifications preferred.
- Strong background in architecture frameworks (TOGAF), DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, information systems, or related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
- CRO/Pharma industry experience required.
