Digital Media / Publishing

A leading media group is looking for a Social Content Producer to launch and grow new TikTok and Instagram channels focused on factual, data-led entertainment.

This is a hands-on role for someone who lives and breathes social media. The successful candidate will understand what makes people stop scrolling and how to turn stats, research and data into highly shareable content.

You’ll own the channel end-to-end, from idea generation through to publishing and performance analysis.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Launching and growing TikTok (and Instagram) channels from scratch
  • Developing original, repeatable content formats built around data and statistics
  • Turning survey results into strong hooks, headlines and video concepts
  • Directing, filming and producing social-first video content
  • Managing freelancers or producing and editing content yourself when needed
  • Owning the content calendar and publishing schedule
  • Tracking performance and using insights to improve growth and engagement
  • Staying ahead of platform trends, creators and formats

This is not a hands-off role, it suits someone who is comfortable behind the camera, in the edit and in analytics.

About You

You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience producing social-first video for TikTok and/or Instagram Reels
  • A strong portfolio showing an understanding of what performs on these platforms
  • Sharp editorial instincts - you can see a headline in a stat
  • Deep understanding of TikTok trends, creators and platform behaviour
  • Confidence working with talent, either on-camera or directing others
  • A data-driven mindset, balancing creativity with performance

Experience in publishing, media, news, polling or factual content is a bonus.

Why Apply?

  • Freelance role with real ownership and autonomy
  • Opportunity to build channels from the ground up
  • Strong chance to move into a permanent position at a leading media group
  • Fast-paced, creative, social-first environment

If this sounds like you - we'd love to hear from you!
