Staff Data Scientist

Job description

We’re recruiting for a fast-growing travel tech company seeking a Staff Data Scientist to take a senior technical leadership role. You will shape the future of data science within the company, drive innovative solutions, guide junior team members, and partner with stakeholders across the business to turn complex data challenges into actionable insights that support key strategic goals.

Salary: £110,000–£130,000 + 10% bonus

Location: Central London, 3 days in office

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end data science projects from concept to deployment
• Build and scale machine learning models for business impact
• Mentor and support the growth of junior team members
• Provide technical guidance and influence business decisions

Requirements:

• Strong expertise in machine learning and statistical modeling
• Experience deploying production ML systems at scale
• Advanced SQL and sound software engineering practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred:

• Experience in travel, ecommerce, or retail
• Familiarity with deep learning, recommender systems, or cloud platforms
