About the job

We are working with a top three insurance broker who are seeking to hire a Head of Retail Casualty in London. This position is a great opportunity to join a market-leading company and lead the Retail Casualty Practice.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead and develop the London retail casualty practice, setting strategy and driving performance
• Oversee placement of complex UK casualty programmes, including EL, PL, Products, and Umbrella
• Manage senior insurer relationships and negotiate strategic terms, capacity, and wordings
• Provide technical leadership, governance, and oversight across the casualty portfolio
• Develop and mentor brokerage teams while supporting growth, retention, and client strategy

About you:

• Extensive experience in UK retail casualty brokerage with a strong London market profile
• Deep technical knowledge of UK casualty lines and regulatory requirements
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to build, develop, and inspire high-performing teams
• Established relationships with senior UK insurers and market decision-makers
• Commercially focused leader with strong communication, negotiation, and strategic skills
