Location: UK & Ireland (mainly remote with occasional office visits and travel for client meetings)

Salary: Up to £120,000 + bonus


Overview:


An exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Lead to join an established consultancy firm with a global presence. This role is ideal for a dynamic professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building strategic relationships and driving business growth.


A strong network within the utilities or water industry is essential for this role. Previous experience within a consultancy environment as a Project Manager is also preferred.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients in the utilities and water sectors.
  • Present consultancy services effectively and tailor solutions to meet client needs.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial engagement to securing long-term partnerships.
  • Generate new business opportunities and expand existing accounts.
  • Produce and manage accurate business forecasts aligned with company objectives.
  • Contribute to the firm’s growth strategy across the UK and Ireland.


About You:


  • Proven track record in business development and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong network within the utilities or water industry is essential.
  • Previous experience in a consultancy environment is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, think strategically, and bring innovative ideas to the table.
