Technology Delivery Lead – Energy & Utilities

London, Birmingham or Manchester (with client travel)


We’re supporting a global consulting organisation as they continue to grow their Energy & Utilities practice. They’re now seeking a Technology Delivery Lead with strong experience delivering large-scale programmes across the sector. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of complex, high-impact transformation initiatives while leading teams and shaping delivery strategy.


About the Role

As a Technology Delivery Lead, you’ll manage end-to-end technical delivery across major UK Energy & Utilities clients. You’ll oversee full lifecycle delivery, from design through to build, test and implementation - ensuring work is delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard.

You’ll lead diverse, geographically dispersed teams, work closely with clients to align expectations, and apply modern delivery practices across Agile and Waterfall engagements. This role offers excellent exposure to cloud technologies, large transformation programmes and cross-functional stakeholder groups.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive high-quality technology delivery across complex transformation programmes
  • Lead end-to-end delivery planning, execution and governance
  • Manage and mentor multi-disciplinary teams across multiple workstreams
  • Provide functional and technical oversight to support solution design and implementation
  • Identify and manage risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies
  • Work closely with clients to ensure alignment on delivery plans and outcomes
  • Execute delivery using Scrum, Kanban and Waterfall methodologies
  • Keep up to date with the latest technology trends and industry developments


What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ years’ delivery experience, including managing entire project phases
  • Strong background working within the Energy & Utilities sector
  • Experience delivering large-scale transformation programmes
  • Skilled in Agile and Waterfall delivery methods
  • Strong understanding of RAID management
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets and coordinate multiple workstreams
  • Excellent communication skills with experience working alongside global delivery centres
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) or SaaS solutions (Salesforce) is highly desirable
