We’re hiring: Certification Assessor (PPE)

Kettering, Northamptonshire (UK)

Full-time | 37.5 hours per week

Salary: Up to £29,000 DOE

An established, accredited certification organisation is looking for a Certification Assessor to join its PPE Certification team. This role offers the opportunity to work within a highly regulated environment, assessing products against UK and EU PPE Regulations and supporting manufacturers in achieving CE and UKCA marking.

What you’ll be doing

• Carrying out certification assessments of PPE in line with relevant standards and regulations
• Interpreting PPE performance standards and regulatory requirements
• Reviewing technical documentation and preparing draft certification documentation
• Communicating with clients on certification processes, requirements, and progress
• Collaborating with internal certification and quality teams
• Attending external technical meetings and contributing to standards activity where required

About you

Essential:

• Broad technical background with strong attention to detail
• Logical, methodical approach and ability to work independently
• Strong organisational, communication, and time management skills
• Experience working with customers or external stakeholders
• Confident using Microsoft Office
• Flexible, adaptable, and willing to travel (UK and internationally)

Desirable:

• Science-based degree or equivalent
• Experience in a test laboratory or regulated technical environment
• Knowledge of PPE, CE or UKCA marking, or European legislation
• Additional language skills
