Role Overview

The Head of Client Management will lead and inspire Freedman International’s client management function, spearheading strategic growth and the cultivation of best-in-class client relationships. This senior leadership role sits at the heart of the business, blending commercial acumen, and service excellence as standard. As a member of the senior team, the Head of Client Management will champion client-centricity, and be responsible for growing revenues while nurturing team development.



Key Responsibilities


Leadership & Team Development

  • Set the vision and direction for the client services team, building a high-performance culture, centered on service excellence.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop client-facing talent, ensuring robust succession planning and professional growth across account teams.
  • Lead recruiting, onboarding, and continuous training initiatives, ensuring alignment with business values and growing industry skills.
  • Foster cross-team collaboration, ensuring efficient workflow and knowledge sharing.


Client Partnership & Growth

  • Act as a strategic advisor to top-tier clients, cultivating trusted relationships at the most senior levels and identifying opportunities for account growth.
  • Personally lead on key account strategy, major pitches, and high-stakes negotiations, championing Freedman’s values and offering.
  • Ensure consistently high standards of client service delivery, from briefing and delivery to measurement and optimisation.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity, proactively sharing insights to clients and internal teams.


Commercial & Operational Management

  • Take full ownership for achieving client revenue and profitability targets, planning pipelines, and overseeing commercial negotiations and contracts.
  • Establish rigorous processes for forecasting, resource allocation, financial management, and performance tracking.
  • Collaborate closely with the wider leadership team on business strategy, business positioning, and new business initiatives.



Core Requirements

  • Demonstrable, senior-level experience leading client management within a business managing all facets of multi market campaigns.
  • A proven track record of growing client revenues and teams.
  • Outstanding relationship management skills, with the gravitas to influence and advise C-suite client stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial and strategic acumen.
  • Comprehensive team leadership, including people management, coaching, and talent development.
  • High-level communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Adept at driving change, navigating complexity, and delivering results in fast-paced, client-driven environments.
  • Deep commitment to and a track record of building supportive, high-performing teams.
  • Appreciation for the balance between commercial results, creative excellence, and employee wellbeing.



Reporting Structure

This role will report into the CMO.
