Hours: Full-time (flexible, may include weekends)

Medical Secretary


We are looking for a reliable, compassionate, and highly organised Medical Secretary to join our growing team at the London Pregnancy Clinic. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in supporting their journey through pregnancy care with empathy and professionalism. This role combines patient-facing duties with administrative support and chaperoning responsibilities. Experience in phlebotomy is highly desirable.


Key Responsibilities


Patient Communication

  • Respond to all patient enquiries promptly and empathetically via telephone, email, and WhatsApp.
  • Provide clear and accurate information about clinic services, appointments, and procedures.

Administrative Duties

  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments across both clinic locations.
  • Maintain accurate booking records and patient pathways.
  • Support patients with completing digital consent forms and other documentation.
  • Follow up on patient care, including chasing blood test results and liaising with laboratories.

Team & Clinical Support

  • Work closely with sonographers, doctors, nurses, and midwives to coordinate high-quality care.
  • Chaperone during ultrasound scans and clinical procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Assist with compliance-related tasks such as audits and stock control.

What We’re Looking For


  • Experience in a receptionist or administrative role (medical or clinical setting preferred).
  • Confident communicator with a friendly and calm demeanour.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain efficient under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with clinical software is a plus (training will be provided).
  • Able to explain medical procedures clearly and assess the suitability of services based on patient queries.


Desirable Skills


  • Prior experience in a pregnancy or women’s health clinic.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Phlebotomy training or experience.
  • Experience acting as a chaperone in a clinical setting.
