A leading London-based M&E contractor with an annual turnover exceeding £400m is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager to join its commercial new build division. Known for delivering major landmark projects, the business has built a strong reputation for technical excellence, long-standing client relationships, and consistent project delivery.

The Opportunity:

The business is currently delivering a £30m electrical package on a major commercial new build project in Central London and is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Project Manager to take full ownership of the electrical works.

This is a senior leadership role offering a high level of autonomy and clear long-term development prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the full electrical package, ensuring works meet technical, quality, and compliance standards.
• Ensure full compliance across all design, engineering, construction, and commissioning activities, driving best practice throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide clear and regular progress updates to the Project Director, ensuring alignment on programme milestones and delivery objectives.
• Add value during the design process by challenging methodologies, improving buildability, and reducing whole-life costs where possible.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, consultants, main contractors, and internal engineering teams.
• Oversee procurement, resourcing, and supply chain activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Ensure high-quality installation, testing, commissioning, and final handover of all electrical systems.

Skills and Background

• Proven experience delivering multiple £10m+ M&E commercial new build projects through the full project lifecycle.
• Strong technical expertise in electrical building services within large-scale commercial environments.
• Demonstrable leadership experience managing engineering teams and subcontractors.
• Excellent understanding of procurement strategies, project controls, installation methodologies, and commissioning processes.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
• Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced project environments while maintaining exceptional quality and safety standards.
• Relevant electrical engineering qualifications or industry-recognised certifications.
