Senior Commercial Manager – Defence

£70,000 - £85,000 + Bonus

Hybrid Working - Bristol

Are you a commercially astute professional with experience in customer facing aerospace or defence contracts? We are recruiting for a leading organisation delivering advanced defence solutions.

The Role:

As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in managing high-value defence contracts, from bidding and pre-signature negotiations to post-signature contract management. You will be responsible for ensuring commercial success, risk mitigation, and compliance within a highly regulated and strategic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead commercial activities across technology led defence contracts.

Oversee the end-to-end bid process, ensuring competitive and compliant proposals.

Negotiate, draft, and manage contracts with key clients, suppliers, and government entities.

Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and security frameworks.

Identify and mitigate contractual risks.

Provide commercial guidance to internal teams and senior stakeholders.

Collaborate with procurement, finance, and legal teams to drive business objectives.

About You:

Proven experience in a senior commercial/contracts management role.

Strong understanding of defence contracts, including MOD and international agreements.

Experience managing bids, pre-signature negotiations, and post-contract delivery.

Excellent negotiation, risk management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Ability to work in a high-security, fast-paced environment.

Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC level).
