Commercial Contract Manager - Renewable Energy

Climate17 is supporting a leading renewable energy business with an urgent hire into its Commercial Asset Management team.
You’ll take ownership of a high-profile renewable energy portfolio (predominantly wind) and play a key role in protecting asset value, managing contracts and navigating complex commercial issues once assets are live.
The opportunity
You’ll be responsible for the commercial management of operational renewable energy assets, working closely with asset managers, suppliers and a demanding, financially sophisticated asset owner.
This is a fast-paced, high-responsibility role suited to someone comfortable operating at pace, managing a high-touch client relationship and balancing competing commercial priorities.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing and governing operational contracts across renewable energy assets
- Leading end-to-end procurement for O&M services, HV equipment and ad-hoc works
- Reviewing supplier performance, including KPIs, bonuses and liquidated damages
- Managing disputes, warranty issues and performance-related claims
- Supporting and managing insurance claims
- Drafting and negotiating contracts and commercial agreements
- Acting as a key commercial interface with asset owners and internal stakeholders
- Supporting the transition of new assets into operations
What we’re looking for
You’re likely already working in a commercial or contract management role within renewables or infrastructure, with exposure to operational assets.
Key requirements:
- Experience in renewable energy (wind preferred, solar also considered)
- Clear understanding of operational asset management and service-provider models
- Hands-on experience running or supporting at least one O&M tender
- Ability to draft and interpret contracts confidently
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Organised, resilient and comfortable working at pace

- UK-based with hybrid working
- Role can be based from Central Belt Scotland, London, or S. West England
