Accounts Manager

Salary: £48,000 – £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Responsibilities

As an Accounts Manager, you will lead a dedicated team while managing a varied client portfolio. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing workflow and reviewing team output to ensure timely and accurate delivery
  • Preparing budgets, fee quotes, statutory accounts and tax computations
  • Maintaining strong and regular communication with clients to provide strategic guidance
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures
  • Leading process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency
  • Monitoring team performance, providing mentoring and addressing any personnel matters
  • Overseeing the allocation and use of departmental resources effectively

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent)
  • A strong background in practice accountancy, ideally with experience managing a team
  • Solid technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted client relationships
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise effectively
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem solving and team management
