Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Wondercraft is looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Job description

*Note that the job description below is for a full stack dev. If you specialise in either frontend or backend and fit the role description below, we would still love to hear from you.

Who we are

Wondercraft is an AI video studio that makes it easy for anyone to create video. It brings together the latest AI models across video, images, voice, and sound, and organises them into simple, guided workflows. This allows people without editing expertise to create professional, business-ready video.

AI video for business has largely meant avatars until now. That was the first wave. Today, advances in visual AI have opened up far richer possibilities, beyond talking heads. Video generation is no longer the bottleneck. Making it usable is.

Role Description

You will help Wondercraft define the future of its AI video studio. You will work closely with the engineering, design, and customer success teams to build and refine features from concept through to production.

Specifically, you will:

  • Design and architect features in collaboration with the design team, customers, and the CEO/CTO
  • Build and maintain both front-end and back-end components of features (full-stack ownership)
  • Work with the design team to refine product specifications and user experience
  • Contribute to technical architecture decisions and implementation patterns across the product
  • Take responsibility for the delivery, quality, and performance of the features you own
  • At Wondercraft, engineers are expected to work across the stack and contribute to all parts of the product.

We are looking for

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • 3–5 years’ experience as a full-stack engineer in a fast-growing product-led company (experience as a founding engineer or engineering lead is a plus)
  • Strong proficiency in Python, React, TypeScript, Next.js, AWS, and Terraform
  • Experience owning features end-to-end, from design through to production release
  • A track record of delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced, iterative environment
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating closely with product, design, and customer teams
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, particularly when discussing technical concepts with non-technical stakeholders
  • The ability to identify improvements and propose solutions beyond the initial specification

This role is based in London, UK, and requires regular in-office collaboration. Candidates must be based in London or willing to relocate.

And in it for you

  • £80k – £100k + equity, depending on experience and skills
  • Take-what-you-need holiday policy
  • 2 days per week WFH
  • Private health insurance
